How would I import something to RevitCity from Inventor or where ever you create the parts? There is a part I want but it is not created yet so can I create it myself?

If you are a member, you can upload Revit families in the downloads area, if that is what you are asking.

You can also make your own parts, and you can download them from other sources like, google 3d warehouse, and of course downloading here, there are many useful families here.

If you create something in Inventor, you'll have to convert to a format that Revit will recognize. In Inventor, hit the 'BIM Exchange' button and then hit 'export building components'. This will convert the assembly to an Autodesk Exchange File (.adsk). Once you have this file, you can open it directly in Revit. Then save it as a family and upload to RevitCity. Please don't post any Inventor files directly to this site as no one will be able to open it.
