When a line is drawn in Revit, the end of the line is a filleted end...its a half circle. in auto cad it is a square end. is there an option somewhere in revit to change the end type of a line?

not that I'm aware off... but it shouldn't matter, you might see it in thick line mode on your screen and won't see the difference when you print.

If your line is really big consider a filled region... This way you can use a fine line and a solid fill. But yes there should be an option...
