Here is my scenario.
I have created a door family, within this family are different family types each relating to a different size door (Standard sizes).
Is it possible to add text stating the size of the door leaf, within each different family type?
For example, when I insert a 726mm door into my project, in comes the text "DOOR 762", then when I insert the 838mm door (from the same family, just using a different family type), in comes the text "DOOR 838" with that.
Any help would be much appreciated.

I think you are talking about a door tag based on type properties instead of instance based door tags like most of us use. You can do that.
In fact, you can have two seperate tags. One that is numbered by instance and one that is a type tag. The problem is that only one tag at a time will be applied when creating the door. Then you would have to switch the tag type and tag the door again - and adjust tag location.

Instead of two different tags on one door, why not have one tag with two labels?
