I have been haunted by this for a while. When I set up a family, for each parameter, the last column is called Lock, which comes with a box to check. I used to think this can lock that parameter, but turned out not.

Anyone knows what this means? Thanks.

This lock column means that other parameters can't change the value of that parameter. For example if you had two paramaters defining a horizontal length and you changed one, the other would change unless it was locked. This does NOT mean that you can't change the value for locked parameters it just means it maintains the value when other parameters are changed. A simple dimension that is locked, however, is called a constraint and it can't be changed.
