We are trying to upgrade from a Student liscence to a commercial liscence. We uninstalled the old version and tried installing the new product, but it's still in student mode. Any ideas?

This may be a dumb question, but are you putting in the license # for the commercial version or are you using the student #? Are you also selecting either standalone or network version? Usually when you install the new version it asks you if you want to remove the previous version, I would assume that you are doing that as well. When I convert someone from a network license to a standalone version it works real well. Final stupid question are you registering it once you are done installing it? That shouldn't prevent it from working as a full blown program though. If you have done all of that and it still doesn't work you may have to use a registry cleaner to wipe out the old registry.

This is because the student licence still exists on the computer - hidden in documents and settings i think and there are also registry entries, they aren't removed when uninstalling. Best to speak to your reseller or support on how to get around this as they should know the exact location of this and how best to get around it.

I probably need to uninstall and do a registry clean. I've contacted my reseller. Thanks.
