ive seen 3d views go transparent before and i know the fix for that but I have a project that all my elevations are transparent. ive tried quite a few fixes. Has anyone ever experienced the same problem?

oh yeah and it prints fine, the transparency is only while looking at it on screen

Are you sure the wall category has not been over-ridden to transparent in VG?

yeah i check all that and the materials. its so weird, its only the overall building elevations. our 200 interior elevations are fine. if i copy the elevation the new copy is transparent. If i create a new elevation from scratch it is not transparent. I thought it might just be my machine but it's happening to everyone

It is the view.... that is what your tests have shown.  VG over-rides - phases maybe, by element maybe - by ctaegory maybe....BUT - IT is definitly a user created problem.

I got the east elevation to show normal by changing the far clipping from no clip to clip without line but that only work on that elevation. does not change anything on the others.

problem solved. someone inserted a dwg from food service that had proxies and was 3000 ft from 0,0. just deleted it, moved it and exploded it in cad and reinserted.

Interesting fix. I have had this problem before. I will look for an inserted object. What was the object that caused the problem. Maybe I have the same?

it was the entire kitchen layout. some of the objects were 3d objects with hyperlinked pdfs. i think exploding everything was the key fix

So how did you fix the 3d views that have a transparent object?  I have a building where only one wall is showing transparent in a 3d view.  i have check the object settings, no transparency.  Checked the VG settings for walls, no transparency.  Checked the category settings, no transparency.  Not sure what else to check.  Thanks
