Hi there REVIT people. I have been using REVIT since the 2008 version (Architecture) and have just started a new gig with an engineering firm using REVIT MEP 2012. Things are going OK so far. I have gotten them out of a bind twice (two projects) now given their almost non existent knowledge of REVIT. We are gearing up to start an elementary school that requires a lot of modeling. My question for any MEP users out there is: Have any of you had to implement ANSI (Approved American National Standards) symbology for mechanical and plumbing components? I was hoping to gather any information I can before I start trying to alter valves etc. to match this symbology. I am being told that this is a requirement for this project and I am trying to get as much research done as possible before I begin. It seems a little picky to me, but I'm not an engineer, just a REVIT monkey. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Cheers.

T

I have never had to actively implement ANSI standards on a project before. We have never had such a requirement on a project. Here is a good link if you need to see some ANSI symbols, etc. Good luck.
