I just started to read Mastering Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012. There is an excersize where you apply a void component to several walls all at once. However, whatever I try, I can cut only one wall.

The book says - just cut it,

Please, help me. Tell me how to cut multiple walls with a void or I'm goinna go nuts.

You are talking about an in-place void or a wall hosted void?

For an in-place void, the void has to be created in such a manner that it will cut all the walls - it can not just be moved.  Then before finishing the void family, select all the walls to be cut, one at a time.

yes, I'm trying an in place component.

I feel kind of stupid.

once I click to create an in-place component - walls can no longer be selected (I figure, the are outside of the "in-place") then I create a void, the I use the cut but it picks only 1 wall outside of the inplace component.

What do I do wrong?

After you pick the void and the first wall to cut, the void goes away visually - just pick it again from where it should be and pick your next wall.

Before you "CUT" anything, turn ON "Multiple cut", now you can select the void and the walls

IT Totaly worked!!! both ways. Of course it is a bit more convenient to start with a void, because I can see it.

Thank you everyone!
