so I'm trying to create a shape using a void form. I created a cylinder and wanted a diogonal top here are the pictures...I can easily add a curtain system to the shape but when i try to add a wall(mass wall) to the shape the wall also adds material to the void areas...I want to use a wall in this instant and not a curtain system

It looks like you did create a cylinder and cut it with a void.
Are you working in gthe conseptual mass environment? If so, then no need for the void.

yes it was in conceptual mass but the problem is that i don't know how to create a shape like that without using a void. I'm still new at revit, I tried to use a cylinder and move the points but when i move around the points it gets really pointed at the top and bottom(top face) and thats not the way i want it...I still want the top face to be a perfect circle just diagonal

You mean an ellipse - not a perfect circle.
Find some u-tube videos on the conceptual mass environment. This one shows you how to use a plane to define your top: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq86F9vsIFM&feature=related

bashment,
You wrote: "....I still want the top face to be a perfect circle just diagonal " When you cut a cylinder at an angle the resultant face is an ellipse - not a circle. That is what I was referring to.
That video shows you how to tilt the top plane resulting in what you want.

thank you for being patient :D the problem with that vid is that when u do profiling it messes with the body of the cylinder i only want to change the top and i can't get the top to go in the z direction without that void...would u mind trying and tell me how it works out for u?

I seem to have found a solution trying to rotate the mass by using the fron back plane...however the shape isn't perfect so i'll keep trying

"I seem to have found a solution trying to rotate the mass by using the fron back plane...however the shape isn't perfect so i'll keep trying" - something like my images right? The best and easy way is using an "In-place" in category "Wall" and cut the portions of the walls you don't want.

I don't use conceptual mass much but here it is.
- In an elevation view, create a workplane horizontal
- Rotate the plan to the correct angle for your top
- simply align the top of your mass to this plane.

Thank you guys!!! i'll take all ur suggestions and put them to work, I hope my questions hasn't been a bother as I'm a newbie at revit i may want to know answers to simple questions that maybe hard for me ^_^ wwhub
yes typhoon like ur image, I did it in conceptual mass and made cylinder i actually tried to make 2 circles on different elevations and tried to rotate the top circle(using the planes) before i created the form but it wasn't working so then i just created the solid cylinder and i was able to rotate the whole cylinder using the plane. then I disolved the cylinder to get that top face I wanted which was rotated and then i just alligned the bottom circle and created the form...
u mention cutting the wall how do u cut it
