I'm looking for the best way to show excavation in a 4D schedule.  We will be excavating an area in 6 different steps and I'm not sure how to create these volumes and show them seperately.  I have used the "Graded Region" in revit and now have two seperate topos, one with existing conditions and one that is graded for construction.  Just not sure what to do next....

Thanks for your help,

-N

The concept for sequencing is pretty much the same regardless of what you are trying to sequence.

You model what you want to assign a timeframe to and in Navis, you assign it to the correct part of your schedule...

It is helpful if you us P6 or something...but you can manually add it as well....

Basically, in Navis, you select the phase one grading and assign a date and time to it...when it starts and when it ends.

Continue doing this for each of your phases.

You can color the areas differently so you can show high level what is what and you can add it to an animation to show the time duration and order...lots you can do with it.

So I would have to create 6 different graded regions in revit before exporting? And then assign them to an activity? or is there an easy way to divide one graded region into 6 parts?

Thanks,

-N
