Hi, I'm trying to make an overhead door family, where the different panels are created with an array. Now I want to build in an option to have some windows in one of the panels. I think there could be two options.
1. Switch one of the panels with a panel containing some windows. In this case they will all change...
2. Cut the window holes in the complete array group. A void doesn't cut throught groups I guess...
Well, neither of them seem to work, anyone has an idea? The picture give an idea of what i'm trying to accomplish.
I'm using Revit 2011. Thanks already!

Sorry Typhoon, but that's not what i'm looking for. In the attached file the door is modelled as a single extrusion. I have made the door out of different elements, copied with an array. I've attached the family for the door, maybe that will make the problem more clear..
There are two voids. One in the panel family and one that should cut through the array group, but doesn't.
Now I would like some windows in one panel and at the same time, not in all the others... How do I do that?

Were you ever able to get this to work? I'm doing a parametric shutter family with arch top and arrayed louvers and want a void to cut the louvers, but alas, the void does not cut the arrayed object(s)...

Hey Pdoak,
Yes i did get it working. The trick is to stack three array groups onto each other, one with closed panels, one with panels with windows and than again one with closed panels. You can add the counts of the three array groups to get a total of the panels.
But this won't help you with your array problem. You should not array the louvres, but array the voids. It's possible to substract the array voids from a solid. If you als substract an arched void from the solid, you have your arched louvres.
Good luck!
