We have several curtain wall doors in our project, but none of them are displaying correctly in our door schedule.  The doors are in a part of a taller system, with a mullion telling the door how high to be.  We are using curtain wall doors.  The problem is that all of their information, ie. mark, width, frame type, hardware, etc, shows up fine, but the head height and thickness columns are completely empty.  If you click on the door and go to properties, these things show up, and show up correctly.  Why doesn't this infomation make it to the door schedule?  Is there any way to get this infomation to display properly?

It sounds like someone built these CW doors incorrectly.  They did not use the system shared parameters and created their own.  The name of the shared parameter can be the same but that doesn't mean anything!!!!  Sared parameters have special identities in the shared parameter file that you can't access.  It is very important to use the correct template or export the correct shared parameters to your SP file.

The doors we are using are from Revit, straight out of the box, so we did not build them incorrectly.  I did open up the family to look at the parameters anyway and there are no parameters set up for width and that displays correctly in the schedule.  Any other ideas as to why this may not be working?

The width of a curtain wall door is measured from the face of the mullion.  The curtain wall has to be built correctly if you want the door width to measure right.

Be careful with some of the manufacturer curtain wall mullions.  If you use those, the doors may not work right.

I understand how curtain walls work.  My doors are the size I want them to be.  The problem is taking the correct information and displaying it in the door schedule.  And it is the height that is working incorrectly, not the width.  Thank you for your time, but I guess I will have to look elsewhere for an answer.

Sorry I can't seem to help.  I've been using Revit for several years.  I use standard curtain walls and curtain wall doors and have never had a problem with width or height.  So it is something in your family or process that is a problem.
