I bought a new HP a month ago:

Windows 7

64 Bit

2nd Gen Intel Quad Core i7-2720QM (2.2GHz6MB L3 Cache) With trubo boost up to 3.3 GHz

8GB Ram

1GB GDDR5 Raedon HD 6770M Graphics

750GB 7200RPM Hard Drive

Does anyone see a problem with any of this?? I've tried a number of things to speed it up but nothing has worked! Basically it takes forever to scroll in and out, pan, etc. If I'm in a 3D view it can take 5 to 10 minutes to respond. I don't think any of my files are even over 35 MB...

it might have something to do with drivers of the graphic card not updated, OR with net framework. When i format my pc the first thing i install are revit, afterwards netframework from 1.0, 2.0 and so on to the last one (4.0 i think is the last).

Check also the webpage of autodesk, search about supported graphic cards (your GPU should be there, but you never know)

One suggestion I have gotten is to install the 32 bit version of revit for better performance since the system requirements are lower. I've tryed to find a way to do this but it installs as 64bit every time. Any ideas? Will this even help?

Make sure that you've installed the latest graphics drivers.

I would also disable hardware 3D acceleration, and anti-aliasing to see if that helps. Is there any chance that you've got you screening hooked up to your motherboard's integrated graphics?

Regardless, you've got deeper problems than trying to sneak the 32 bit version onto your computer -- your computer should be able to eat this up.

Revit ran 50x better than what you're describing on my old home computer which was less than half the machine you've got, for example.  There some sort of malfunction here.
