I am using Revit 2011 and am having a problem with the fields in a schedule. I am scheduling specialty equipment and noticed that the dimension fields for width/height/length, etc. appear twice in the "available fields" menu of the schedule. When I schedule the families, I have to add both width fields, etc to the schedule because all of the family information won't show up/schedule correctly in just one of the dimension fields. Obviously, I can't have a schedule that lists the dimensions of families sporadically across two separate dimension columns. What is happening here and how do I fix it?

Your families are built from two different shared parameter files.  The shared parameter XXX in one file is not necessarily the same as XXX in a different file.  The name is NOT what controls the parameter.  Whoever built your families did not understand this and they created their own.  If you have a standard file, you can always export a shared parameter to your shared parameter file so that it is the same.

That's exactly what happened. Thank you.
