Hello Dear Revit Experts, This is the first question i am posting here with regards to the subject mentioned so i hope that you pardon me if is no good my english Smile I received a call from a current client today and he wanted me to put all 3D renderings of his projects into his flashdrive coz he wants to display a slide show in his showroom. He/They specifically requested an image of 1920 x 1080 HD format for displaying the slideshow and for the past 2 hours i've been googling and searching in the past threads but can't seem to find the answer. Would anyone happen to know at what settings are used to have the requested format? Thank you in advance. Regards

Ohh..sorry..i meant to ask the render image output settings. Which is the best for a large tv screen? i tried using 600dpi at best setting..i couldn't continue..it was too heavy..that would be past the deadline and i've got no large screen to preview it on. Thank you in advance.

Because you don't view a 1920x1080 screen from 2' away like you do a monitor, I think your resolution is too high.  300 DPI for the image size should still be good ... and the image size is NOT 1920x1080.

"best" setting doesn't make the image much better.  The quality settings only affect things like shadow softness, reflection bounces, transparency, and delicate lighting effects.

For a screen resolution image, you can go with 150 or 300 DPI, at medium or high quality.  See how that looks. Also -- at low quality, light sources render as simple point sources, so try to stick to at least medium.   In my experience, "best" is never necessary, and I can't tell a difference between it and "Good."   ...except that it adds tremendously to the render time.

Revit doesn't let you specify the dimensions of your rendering, but you can always crop and resize in a program like photshop.

Thank you WWhub & itsmyalterego.

I tried using 300dpi with medium and high quality with a crop region of 435mm x 236mm which is a 16:9 aspect ratio and the outcome was good. I'll also have to agree that i can't see much difference between best and good quality. Thanks again ^^,
