When in elevation views or even sections, is there a clever way to show elevations 'set-back' from the foreground wall in grayscale? It would be good say, if you could set everyone that is a certain distance back to grayscale (or something similar) automatically. Anyone ever done this or have any ideas?

Many thanks (newbie!)

This has been asked for since the beggining of Revit.  If you search the forums you will find many posts on this.  Here is a start: http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=11267

Great, thanks for that. I thought there may be one or two threads already re: this, just didnt really know how to word any searches.

Ill stick with the layering of masses for now, I can live with that and seems to give me quite a nice affect of the depth. Still cant figure why Autodesk havent sorted this yet?

Seems autodesk could do it fairly easily with some additional categories to view depth, to set solid lines, then poched lines.

I don't see why they can't have two tiers of draggable extents to a depth clipping, such as on a section.  One line being a hard limit, one being a grayed point.  Seems sensible, and I imagine pretty easy to code.
