I can't get the casing profile to apply to my model for some reason. It shows in the box on the left that has all of the views, families, etc. Sorry, not sure what that box is called exactly. It shows in the families but never shows in the components and I can't seem to get it to apply to my walls for trim work detail. Any help would be appreciated!

Not sure what you are doing.  If I had special trim I wanted to model on walls, I would do in-place sweeps using the wall as the host and sketching arount the openings for the path.  When you do that, you can pick your profile and place it where it needs to be to do the sweep.

Be careful, sweep paths usually need to be on the inside of the profile.  In other words - if you had profile to go around a door and you picked the edges of the opening for the path, the profile wants to be on the wall side, not the opening side of the path.  That's because the profile can't turn on itself.

Thanks for the help. I was able to figure out how to apply the wall sweep using the edit wall then adding a sweep and profile. However, I need to add the same type of trim vertically and can't seem to figure this out. I couldn't figure out how to sketch teh path and apply an in-place sweep as WWHub suggested.

Don't do it as vertcal and horizontal sweeps because they will not join correctly.  Do it as an in-place sweep.  Start here:
