i was curious to know the easiest way to setup some standards for keynote usage on a sheet. i'm trying to setup templates where drafters would have a keynote legend and just need to label their current plan accordingly. the only way i see it working is if the drafter follow the order in which the keynotes are labeled. suggestions???

I started with the Default Keynote Family. You have to modify the "Keynote Number" and "Description" parameters so that they are INSTANCE rather then TYPE parameters. Now you can change the number for each instance. I then setup separate Family Types (adding a COMMENTS parameter) for Keynotes on different sheets (Building Section, Ceiling Plan, Exterior Elevation, Floor Plan, Interior Elevation, Roof Plan, and Wall Section) You can now setup schedules (note blocks) for each Keynote Type and filter by COMMENTS. This will give you a separate schedule for use in each of the different sheets. Post edited on 2005-11-30 13:58:39

We have done much the same as 'arccodex1' except we added a 'Type' parameter (instance) and will fill in 'Reflected Ceiling', 'Finish' etc. Like I said earlier basically the same as 'arccodex1' it's just a matter of how you want it work for you. If you have any questions on setting up your template feel free to contact me, I would be more than happy to answer any questions that you might have.

I'm struggling with developing a keynote system for use in my project. I like the idea of being able to have them scheduled by type. Any help is much appreciated on how to do this.
