How do I place these? Where does this tool lie on my ribbon?

I am needing to place these around my casework families.

I don't think you can set it.... but you may be able to increase it by what is included: ...from the HELP:

"The bounding box is an invisible 3D rectangular space that contains all model elements, annotation elements, and datum elements defined in a family-based element. Datum extents are the exception. For example, a horizontal reference plane will only affect a top or bottom of the bounding box, not either of its sides. The bounding box is oriented with respect to the family definition."

I think this is where invisible lines might be useful.

I am not understanding how to establish them from the start.  I currently do not have them on my families but do feel it is important to place them on certain medial related caseworks.  I have read the F1 ( HELP ). I am just not familiar with the Revit lingo...and do not really understand where to find this invisible bounding box.  I have seem it placed on caseworks before, and see it removed.  But how do i?

I have never seen the bounding box.... it is invisible <GRIN>

Revit creates / uses it - you don't.  Read what I posted last time.

I have seen someone apply it to their casework families.  It is not invisible in family editor mode, but it is in projects.  They used it to keep 3d objects from sitting on top or overlapping one another.

It keeps all other elements and certain desired distance away, and warns you if you are exceeding your limits.  I think this could be useful for certain medial equipment...if only i could figure it out.
