This has been a problem for me for a long time. I have ask this Q. in the chat and they seem not to understand the Q.

Im still using 2009, so if there has been a improvment, like to hear about it.

When I start a roof, the program will default to 9/12 pitch.  ok easy to change. ill select 4/12 and then draw.

when finish with that segment of roof / finish roof and start a new roof I get 9/12 as a default again.

Is there a way to make it default to a selected pitch such as 4/12 ???

It's a grievance of mine too. I wouldn't mind a default of 4".

...And it's also not 9:12.  It's 9 13/128" :12"  or something fantastically arbitrary.

Actually it gets worse. 2011 & 2012 actually take out the option of selecting the pitch before you draw! Now you HAVE to draw the roof pitch as 9:12 then GO BACK and change it to the pitch you want. Extremely annoying, as now we are not double tasking, we are triple tasking. Don't know who the genius is that decided that not only can we not set the default roof pitch, we also can't pick our pitch before we draw it. Hope they address this soon.

I'll join you on this request. 9/12 I thought that it might have to do with radians or something but alas, can find no direct route to it. Funny approx angle is 37 degress. Wonder how they came up with it. Anyway setting ones own standard would be helpful. 4/12 would be a better standard for me.
