I must say, I'm a little offended. This is the third attempt at a post as a test to see if I keep using this site. I find it such a waste of time to have to read through so many redundant threads that lead me to no end, only to find that days, even months later my threads are never responded to. I've only done a few and you all were on it in the beginning, but I'm not sure if someone got fired, quit, or just lack work ethics, but this is not the way to run a business.

Thank you to whoever cares,

Tres

It's not really a business.  Do you think we're paid to answer your questions?  Do you pay to have your questions answered?  no.  There's minimal advertising anyway.  There's a "donate" button over there.  I think, the extent of the bunisness going on is the owners of the site trying to recoup costs for the server, hosting/bandwidth, etc.  Maybe there's a little profit, but I can't imagine they're making a killing.  I don't know.

I'm at work, in an architectural office, taking the time out of my day to try to help people online.  And yes, there are a lot of redundant threads and we try to direct common questions to old answers as often as possible.

Also, if you questions haven't been answered, maybe bump your thread. Many times, when a thread gets past a day old without answers, it falls out of sight.  So, bump it.  people watch the "Today's posts."

You had 7 previous posts that were answered.  Only one post from July 20 and one from June 9 were not answered.  As alterego said, nobody gets paid here.  Members try hard to answer every question but some slip by.  The key word there is MEMBERS - have you answered any posts?

Keep in mind that most here are on architecture.  Structural and MEP questions do not get answered as fast so you may have to bump them to keep them current.

Also if you ask a question, keep it concise. Try not to add multiple questions to one query. Give some guidance on your question like a screen shot of what you are asking.

Thank you to the people who responded to me this time. Everything you do is great stuff I'm sure. Thank you for clearing up with me that this website isn't a business. I was under the impression it was. I had no idea about bumping and to be perfectly honest, I'm still learning how to navigate through this website, so thanks for your understanding. Also, special thanks to WWHub and his/her clever tracking. So, I thought I was a member by getting an account, but I guess you all have other terms for nonpaying members.

If you want a donation, I would love to help you out. I had no idea that this is how this website works. It is a great and useful tool for the masses and really see it as a positive resource. I'd like to see it stay that way. So, stay professional guys and keep up the good work.

I'll start bumping, and being more concise, and start donating as soon as I can.

Thanks for the support.
