Please see attached file

I've modeled a bed head service duct (wall based) and added some of our electrical (wall based) components to the model.

For some reason when I place this in a room it schedules the bed head in the correct room & the electrics in the next room on the other side of the wall! It's now totally doing my head in as I can't work out how to correct this. I really need to keep the electrics the same as the rest in the project rather than creating some bespoke face based items. Also just adding the electrics to the wall seperately rather defeats the point of nesting. Any help gratefully received!

Cheers

A few possibilities but no concrete answer....

  1. Are these families mirrored in the project?  Nested families sometimes have problems when mirrored.
  2. Remember, the entire family has to be in the space to schedule there.... including hidden lines.
  3. The problem may be that these components are hosted off your wall.  Face based would give you less problems.

That's probably the side of the wall that's doing the hosting? see if the host can be reset.
