I am using compound walls throughout my project and the exterior walls are configured such that the wall centerline is 3/16" outside of the core centerline.  This is causing some difficulty and confusion as the walls are located using the core centerline but Revit seems to use the wall centerline for everything else, thereafter.  I would like to use the core centerline for everything (layout, orientation, dimensions, etc.) and not use the wall centerline for anything.  Is it possible to disable or turn off the use of the wall centerline, or perhaps I can specify to Revit that the core centerline is to be used for all references, instead of the wall centerline?  Any help will be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Revit doesn't "use the wall centerline for everything", it just starts there.  Use the tab key to toggle dimension reference locations.

Be careful with stacked walls if that's what you mean by "compound" as they are actually individual wall types that are stacked and they will dimension differently depending on where you are in the stack.

I believe what was happening was that the compound walls were placed or "located" using the core centerlines, but then, the temporary dimensions associated with them were set to use the wall centerlines, and this caused the inconsistency.  Setting Revit to use core centerlines, in lieu of wall centerlines, for the temporary dimensions, resolved the issue.
