As you can see the truss is sitting on the brick when it should sit on the timber.

The screenshot was a little unclear... you mean, you want the roof to hit the wall at one of the interior layers, not the exterior layer of the wall, being the point where the roof crosses below the Roof level line?

Hey sorry hopfully this one is better. On the left is the revit version on the right is an old one in cad. On the revit drawing I have put a red dot where the intersection point is and a green dot of where its ment to be. In my course I did asked this question and stupid me forgot to write it down. It was a simple fix by changing something with the wall. The truss is ment to sit on the timber stud wall but revit has it sitting on the brick. Hope this makes more sense and not less haha.

well, it's not  TOO simple.

The easy way, is just to attach the wall to the roof.  That'll trim the wall to the underside of the roof, and then, details are details.   But you already knew that.

So if you want to change the wall so that the layers are able to stretch -- the brick can be pulled down... select your wall type, edit type-->structure, [edit]-->Preview-->view, Section:Modify type attributes-->Modify

yeah.

that's a lot of steps.

Now, you can click on the top or bottom lines of the individual wall layers.  When you do, you'll see a little lock appear.  Unlock the top or base of the wall layer.  You can only do this ONCE per wall.  Or more precisely, You can't unlock several random layers, only adjascent layers, that will them move together as your "top (or base) extension distance"

Yeah that allows me to pull the brick down but the truss is still sitting above the brick not the timber is there somewhere I can change where the roof pitches from on the wall?

I found a job we did when I was in the revit class on the left it is wrong as the roof is sitting on the brick on the right it is correct sitting on the timber. Cant remember how I did it haha any ideas??

You'd have to look at your roof level offsets, and/or your sketch lines.  I'd just bump the roof offset down until it's where you want it to be.

Found it When you select the roof sketch lines, you can select (in the options bar) to "Extend into wall (to core).
