Hey there,

I got a few questions towards displaying images in revit.

is there a way to display horizontal floor plans and vertical sections in 3D space and the same trace like in SketchUp? is there a certain plugin or can someone tell me how to manage that manually? Is it possible to insert pixel images vertically in revit?

Thanks in advance!

Bill

Not sure I understand the questions.  Why would you want a section in 3D space?  Just place the 2D view over the 3D view on your sheet.  If you mean a 3D section - yes, they are easy to create.  Search the forums for this process.  Two methods, section box an align to view.

For the rotated image.  Did you try rotating the image in Revit, I have not.  If that doesn't work, the rotate the image outside revit before importing.

Again, you are not clear.

Remember, this is BIM, not CAD.  Everything is model based.  If you want 2D Cad based elements, you can place those in your model and see them in 3D.

Fosterbill if you need to bend, transparent, or manipulate images your using the wrong software--> you can do that in photoshop or a similar program, then import back to revit to refine the design. I imagine you are trying to use jpeg scans from hand drawing , you can do that with decal ( check the help for how to use them). But to be able to show or place them in elevations, sections or even plans you need to host the decals--> create a generic in place model to host those planes (the decals) . Hope this clear your mind.
