Can someone tell me what / why there is a black dot on the cooktop range library part?

Also: Regarding Phase filters. the walls are all greyed out, yet the phase filter for existing does not show that there should be any grey tone or halftone or grey lines. I changed it to black lines and no fill...why is it filled? why dont the windows cut out the wall graphically?

"Can someone tell me what / why there is a black dot on the cooktop range library part?" - You need to edit that family and check if there is any "Filed or Masking region" in that.

About the walls, change the "Color" of those walls in materials, I think this is what are you talking about.

Thanks for the help. still having trouble with the stove top.

see new screen shot, shows tiled 3d and plan view.. look at the gap, and still one dot. but the 3d shows true...
