Hello all. I'm very new to Revit and have run into an issue. I cannot get my receptacles to show up in my section views. I would like to use the sections to confirm the height placement of the receptacles. I've gone through my VG multiple times to make sure the Electrical Fixtures are turned on as well as anything else i can think of. I've also checked the depth of my section to make sure I wasn't cutting off the receptacle. What's weird is that if I select the receptacle in the floor plan, then go to my section, there are dimensions and selection points for the receptacle, but no visible object. I'm at a total loss as to what's going on in this model haha. Thanks for any help you all can throw out to me!

Some families just DOESNT cut... check in the help for "cut family" or similar words, there is a list on the help document in revit. (for instance the furniture doesnt cut... you get only elevations)

We checked another project with the same objects placed on a wall and they showed up fine in a section. Is there some setting I might be missing? I'm figuring there is an obscure box unchecked in VG but just don't know where it would be :-/.

If this is a 3D element, is it face based? Did you look at your elevetion to see if it is there because it could be hosted on the wrong wall face... or even if not face based then inside the wall a fraction? Are you sure this is the same family as your other project?....sure means you edited the other project's family then loaded that into your project. Family name doesn't mean a thing! Could be the family is not set to show from left/right.
