I cant seems to be able to edit a slab profile I have within my project since I cannot find this profil the place where families are located.However I do see it in the project browser and ofcourse it shows fine in the drawings.
...Need help

You can create any profile you want, just go to File > new > Family, choose "Metric/Imperial Prodile" then in "Family category and parameters" change the profile usage like you want.

Floors don't use profiles. Do you mean slab edge profile? All profiles are in your browser under the families - profile category.
