Good morning:

I cannot locate a roof tag within Rev 2009. I have the tag category but no family. Where can I find a roof tag?

Tags are very easy to create.  It looks like this is a good place to start for you.  Download the families guide from the autodesk site and that will walk you through the process.

Cheers..however why are there tags for every other category..walls..floors..doors and no roof tag...last question if I create a roof tag will it show in the roof schedule?

Tags do not schedule.... Roof properties will schedule.  Both a schedule and tags can read certain properties of elements.  Both tags and schedules might read a mark number ... type - or other parameters you assign to a category like a roof.  But tags will not perform functions like calculations and shcedules can.
