How about a print 'window' option.  When I go to print I find myself having to preview a few times and zooming in and out to get the 'current view' to fit the way I want it to on a page; when I'm not concerned about scale. Also...plain old leaders would be nice. I don't like have to draw arrows in full.

A real window would be nice.

If you need a leader/arrow with no text or symbol, you can create (or download, I think there is one in the downloads section here) a symbol family with nothing in it. When you place it on a sheet nothing shows up, but you can add a leader to it.

If you turn on a crop and annotation crop region, you can print extents, scale to fit, and it'll fill the page nicely.

For leader arrows you can have specify none in the properties box. If you want no text you can place leader and add just a dot (period).

Try this,

It is a title border family minus the title border.  it has parameters so you can change the size of the window to meet your needs and it will print to scale if needed.
