How do you attach the balusters shown in the attached file to the roof. Is there a function to attach them or do you have to just set their height to the height of the roof? Thanks

Only walls can attach to roofs or floors. Can't really tell from your image but are there multiples of these requiring different heights? If so either create them as columns or do the layout as a curtain wall and make these your mullions.
