I am using a duel 24" lcd monitors for revit at work. My eyes are starting having problem after focusing the white background after few months. I know there is an option of standard black background but the graphic is very difficult to read. I wonder is there any ways I can custom change the color of background to the color I feel most comfortable?

The background colour is mainly on your own preferences.  I used to prefer black background, but now I think white is more preferable as I always look at the material in shaded mode.

From the use of the screen perspective, I make 1 of my screen for model space only, and the other screen for project browser, instance properties, etc.  It gives me more space for modelling, and it does not look crowded and squeezed which makes me comfortable whilst I am working.
