I have tried exporting a .dwg file of a project I am working on via:

File > Export > CAD Formats - And changed the file type / file name etc / options / selected sheets.

However when I click save, after a brief moment Revit displays a dialogue box containing an error message.

I have tried creating the .dwg file on other computers linked to the server, and the same message still occurs.

I have attached the error message via a .jpg file.

I am wondering if anyone could explain why this is occuring, and how to resolve it.

Thanks.

I have also tried exporting one sheet at a time, but the error message still arises upon saving it.

Any advice or guidance on this issue would be appreciated.

Thanks.

No attachment. We would need to see this error message.  The export process is normally very easy.

BTW - You can edit your own posts.  Just click on the down chevron at the right on your post.

It's okay. I just worked out that it was because the file name was too long when saving.

All I had to do was specify a shorter file name to edit after the save, which in the end let me save the files / views.

Thanks for your help though Smile
