we recently made an entire fire protection system and send it back to our client. Then later on they re-send the package and told us that they have moved the architectural dwg (link file) upward by 4 feet for the reason that we don't know.so they have told us to do the same thing in the fire protection system.. So here's what we've encountered, we thought that it would be as easy as selecting it all and moving it up by 4 feet so as to coordinate it with the architectural dwg. but rather, there were problems like things will be deleted, etc.. is there a proper way to move it all up? we already unpinned it all, included the ceilings(not part of the link file, we did this in the fire pro file coz they didnt provide it) in moving coz all sprinklers are hosted.. anyone who knows?

Are you saying you didn't use the linked file's levels?  That is the purpose of copy monitor.  When the linked file's levels move, you just accept the change and your done.

If you didn't do the above, look into relocating your project.  You can read about that in your HELP.  That will not create the problems you are having.
