if you want to lock a 3D view in revit 2011
or 2012- just name the view as locked.. that
way you will know not to move it when you
open it and you won't have multiple clicking
command operations with locking and unlocking..
ha ha- sorry 2012- another marketing gimmick
to bog the program down..

Hello vector23,
In Revit 2012 there is an icon at the bottom that allows you to lock the 3D view alongside Temporary Hide/Isolate button. I'm not sure if this same function exists in 2011. This should perform what you want it to by locking the view from moving the camera around; however, it will still allow you to zoom in.
