Hey,

I have a problem attaching a door handle ( brought from Autocad) to a door panel. I have attached an example below.

I need for the handle to move with the door panel when I change the size or angle of the door

Door panel itself is sitting on a workingplane. For the autocad element, I am not able to assign workplane or attach it somehow to

a reference line.

Any help would be welcome Smile

(Using Revit architecture 2011)

Regards,

Vpokunoff

I don't understand why are you using a "BLOCK" from autocad with that "Door handle", when you have in your family library that same "Door handle" created in Revit.

You will need to create some ref. planes and dimensions to lock (with the "Align" tool) the "Door Handle".

I cannot use element created in Revit. The door handle from Revit is made as a 2D profile ( Revit creates a mass itself from the profile, I do not know exactly how it works) and when I export as FBX into 3ds max, it somehow transforms the element. It does not look correct.

Thats why I importered door handle made in autocad, because the element from Autocad do not transform as the Revit element.

I have tried to create reference planes and lock it different ways but have not figured it out yet.
