hey,
I tried togay to insert a dwg file in AutoCAD Revit Structure 2011 and Revit gave me the followong information:
--Geometry in dwg file [directory of file] has extens greater than 1E9 in AutoCAD units. Data exeedind that range will be truncated. Click ok to continue, cancel to exit import.
after clicking OK.
--Some numerical data within the imported file was out of range. This numerical data has been truncated.
The problem is that I can´t see anything from the dwg but I´m able to select.
I tried all kinds of units but everytime the same problem. I also saved my dwg file as dxf but with the same result :-(
I should mention that I started working with revit 3 weeks ago.
can anybody help me??
Martin

This may be the same problem we have importing civil drawings where the drawing's origin is too far away. Try editing the drawing and wblocking out just what you need with a new origin.

The problem stays, no matter what I do. I have also tested by creating a new file with some lines on the location as the original file. The model is faaar away from 0,0 if looking at the Y coordinate you see the number "6.58E+09".. is this not the problem? thou, it shouldn't be, right?
I use AutoCAD 2009 and Revit 2011, Im no veteran in these programs so please talk simple/clearly.
Thx!
Confuesed guy

Revit doesn't like files that have to origin that far away. Open the CAD file and WBlock out the information you need to a new file with a closer 0,0 point. Then use that file.
