So Vector23 did you upgrade yet to 2012?  or are you still on 2011?  Just curious if you found out how to use (and if) the native UI is still there?  I used to love the UI in RAC before the ribbon and hated it when it first appeared because it was a completely different program... now i have "gotten used to" waiting for  the program to open as i have see how long it takes Autocad 2012 to open and we are still faster than that.  just my two cents - lemme know what your using.

hoffmanr- well we do have to wait exactly twice as long for the ribbon to open- and that's a big slowdown for me because i constantly open separate sessions of revit.. BUT i don't complain about that anymore because i am used to using the ribbon now.. INFACT i LIKE the ribbon.. i like having the modify ribbon on "stay on the modify tab" and all the other commands on the QAT.. i rarely go into any other ribbon with it like that and i'm working faster and more comfortably this way than i did with the classic UI.. i regret having given autodesk a hard time about the ribbon beyond that first year when everyone stopped complaining about it.. as for 2012- i'm waiting to see how it performs with update 2.. meanwhile- revit 2011 with update 2 is a solid performer.. i'm not part of the BIM establishment..
