I've created a window tag, attached.  the 3rd tag "head height" displays in feet and inches (see jpg attached), all the others in inches.  What setting controls this?

Your tag is probably set to use project units.  Open the family and adjust this parameter to use inches instead of project units.

in the family, project units are set to decimal inches.  what commands are you suggesting that are different than that? see attached project units in the tag's .rfa

Edit the label. In the list of parameters in the label, select the one you want to change. Click the 'Edit parameter's unit format' button. Change it to how you want it to read.

Not the project units of the family but the units of the parameter in the tag family.

thats it, thanks... it's the tiny little # sign in the dialog box... see attached (right next to the words "rounding to the nearest 1/16").  couldn't find that before.
