...in elevations, tab until the joint is selected, and then move it to the correct location.  Anyone know if this ability is available in some other way?

I'm using 2012 and seem to be able to still do it, not sure what could be the problem.

If you are talking about a material hatch, make sure the pattern assigned is a model and not a draft pattern.

I have been able to use the "align" tool to move the mortar joint hatch to the correct location.  For some reason, my Logitech wireless mouse cannot click and drag the pattern like it did in 2011.  I have opened older 2011 projects and it works fine there but not in 2012.  Strange!
