I've had Revit for several years but I'm an 2D autocad residential designer and I've been having a hard time moving to Revit. I'm using it to make some simple models to help my client view things and so I can start to learn how to use it. I'm working on one right now and I need help getting my roof to work correctly. I have a hip roof and I want it to step up 2 feet for a pop-out with a gable. Its almost working but I'm getting a rake instead of my fascia running into the lower roof. I want the lower fascia to die into the side of the pop-out. Can I do this with one roof or do I need to create two roof?

The gable eaves are too high in relation to the hip. If you want that gable to return over the roof, this will have to be seperate roofs.
