i think that a tool to control view depth (in elevation for example) could be useful.
for example, it not unusual to view an object that is on a plane behind the one i'm watchin to in elevation. maybe an half-tone controller for those objects.... Now i have to hatch (ansi with light grey color) MANUALLY

I agree, we produce elevation view all the time and it would be great to be able to say that item x feet from the viewing point at this line weight and so on so forth
