I love that I can copy a floor plan with detailing so I don't have to copy and paste the details.  However, I forget this when I do a callout area of a floor plan.  It would be nice to have an option stay Callout with Detailing just as it does for duplicate.

I am a victim of this many times when I put alot of annotation lines and text in a floor plan then realize I need a larger scale of a certain area so I have to make a callout.  Then all my lines and text are gone! So I have to go in a copy and paste everything, and its not so easy because when you click an annotation detail line it doesn't give you the option to select all instances visible in view.  So I have to hold ctrl and select everything I want and to the copy to same place, but if I accidently click on a white space then everything is unselected!  So Annoying!

Would a referring view help me?  I read somewhere on here that might work but I cannot find that in revit.  HELP. THX.

Try to select all the visible, then use filters to select the annotation you want to copy..

If you window the whole area and filter as Richard says selecting all annotations, linework, detaile elements at once, you then copy to clipboard and paste same place in the detail.  10 second operation......
