Hi guys and gals,I'm using Revit 2010 and I have a building just now with a small area of foundations and slab which are lower than the rest. I originally started to use a plan region to show all of this on the same plan but as time has went by, and the more information we need to show, this has become very messy.What I have now done is create a detail callout view so that I can isolate this area at a better scale, but still show it on the same sheet as the rest of the building.So far so good.I have done the same process on the ground floor view also. This is where it's throwing me a curveball. I'm trying to apply a slab span arrow to the portion of slab at the lower level, but each time I try to do, so I get this message;'Can't create this kind of element in this view in the current mode.'I’ve double-checked all the view settings and can’t see anything. I’ve also had a quick scan online for posts relating to this but can’t seem to find anything.Any help would be much appreciated Jash86

Can you attach a screenshot? I'm not getting it. Did you try duplicate-dependent and crop region?

Sorry chaps, an amateur mistake here

I've just recreated the callout and have noticed my previous one was a 'detail' view rather than the 'structural plan' view.

Not sure why I get the issue in the detail callout but all seems normal when in the structural plan callout.

Crisis averted, but thanks for the reply anyway mhans
