I believe I know the answer, but wanted to throw this out there.  Would I run into any issues with file compatability between the 32 bit and the 64 bit versions of the same Revit release?  2011 on 64 bit laptop and also on 32 bit desktop.

Other than speed I didn't think there would be an issue, just wanted to check.

Thanks

As I understand it, there are no compatablility issues.  You could have a central file and have users working in the same model with 32 or 64 bit platforms.

There are no compatability issues, but depending on the model, it may eventually reach a point where the 32 system can not really work on it anymore due to file size and system performance.

we just upgraded two of our systems to 64 bit due to the limitations of the 32 bit system.  our project is about 170 megs. the 32 bit system just kept crashing every 15 min or so. it was a pain in my back side.  tried all the fixes for 32 bit and it would work for a while and then back to same old same old. 64 bit runs great and we still have 4 that need upgraded and and we have had no compatibilty issues between the new 64's and the old 32's.
