Hi Guys!

Exporting as I said, the 2d-dwg files created are coming out as blocks from the linked files. Has anyone had experience with this problem and how to resovle it?

Best regards,

Michael

Why do you think this is a problem?  This is the way Revit does this.

Yes I understand but our consultants are using these drawings and they complain that they have to explode the drawings. It would be great if there was an option to not make the dwgs blocks. We have over 60 dwgs that will be this way.

Any tips?

I would try to find out why they need to explode the blocks.

When you export to dwg, you have 2 options, make sure the xref check box is clicked:

select export tool -> opens export cad formats dialog box, where you can choose the views/sheets you want to export, then click next, if you have the Xref views on sheets check box checked, it should make a dwg for each linked file.  NOW, if it is a CAD drawing linked into revit, then I believe you might be SOL.  But checking that box makes an individual drawing for each linked file.

 Hope it helps
