I was trying to make a net "wall".  The easiest thing I could think of was to make a wall that was 100% clear glass and put a light net hatch pattern on the surface.  It works great - accept that in building sections and elevations you can not see thru the 100% clear glass wall (even if I remove the net hatching).  You can see thru it in Isometric and rendering but not in any standard CD view.  Why can I not see thru a 100% clear wall in my Building Sections and Elevations?

In the section view, u can select the elements and right click --> override graphic in views --> by elements --> then u can choose either half tone or transparent

That fixed it - sort of.

It still does not really answer why it is transparent in the isometrics (which have still have the "over ride graphs in view" menu set to visable) and is not transparent in sections and elevations. If it is glass it should be transparent in all views just because it is glass.  If anybody can tell me why this 100% transparent net wall is treated and displayed differenly in isometric -vs- sections I would like to know.

In any event - Thanks for the help with the work-around.

As far as my understanding, the transparency in 3D view is defined by the material. whereas the glass in the section view is still considered a geometry where visible will show the profile of the shape. (so you can see it in the drawing)

Revit trying to be just a little to helpful again.  What you say is probably true.  If I use the same glass in a window then you can see thru it in all views.  To me this seems like something that should be fixed.
