Hello! I am new to Revit. I have some questions concerning the window family I have created in Revit:
1.) The window is placed on the reference level (0.00). As you can see in the 3D view (attached image) the bottom frame extrudes into the minus level which means it also interacts with the floor (attached section image) - the frame mounts down to the core boundary of the floor structure. So the window is not only wall hosted but also floor hosted. It should be placed the void form in the floor to make the frame visible in the section view. Is it possible to add the floor host to the window family and how?If not, how to make the frame visible in section view of the project? 2.) As you can see in the floor level view (attached image) the window is placed into the composite wall called Isorast (passive house). The interior and exterior insulation layers wrap on the left and right frame as needed. However, in the section view the top frame is not wrapped at all. It should be wrapped the same way as the left or right frame. Is it possible to wrap the top frame and how? 3.) The grids I use in the project are half toned. I would like them to be placed behind the geometry. Can we send them to back (like in the Autocad) and how? Thank you! Edited on: Sun, Mar 13, 2011 at 1:57:31 AM
