Finally, we are making the prgression into using the dynamic elevation available in revit. Everything was going so well . . . then BOOM! Revit hates me. I must be missing soething with the spote elevation tags and beam tags. When my members are in fine mode and projected lines are visible...so are my elevation tags. However, in coarse mode they disappear. Why? I cannot add elevations when my views are in stick. What I am I doing wrong? Please, any help would keep me from ripping out my hair further. Greg

Well Everyone I fugured it out. User Error. Here is my take: Spot elevations should not be used for annotating beam elevations in plan at all. The beam annotaion tool is awesome; however, if you already have a member tagged (with or without elevation) the annotations will not overide unless you check the little box to delete existin elevations. If you modifiy a "level" beam in plan that has an existing elevation tag to a sloped beam. Remove the tag and re-tag with your sloped settings. Duh for me
