I have a typical brick wall type, with a rowlock sill band wraping around the perimeter.  When I insert my windows, I used a void sweep to cut the remaining portion of the wall out in order to form the sloped sill, which worked great, and looks exactly right in plan and elevation.  When I cut a section through the windows and void sweep (hosted along bottom edge of window) I can not apply any detail level greater than Coarse.  See Attatched images:

Not sure if im missing a visualization parameter, but I noticed that prior to adding the void sweep, the section cuts just fine visually.

Thanks,

I am not sure the problem causing your issue.

But my suggestion would be to create the sill inside the window family. you can integrate any shape (if not straight) of void inside the window family and see if the problem exist.

You can do a quick test before making the detail sill you need inside the family

I'll try that.

The reason I did not originally place the sill in the window family, was because the band is continuous around the peremeter of the builiding, not just @ the windows.
